Half Sovereigns are a great value small gold coin, made from 22 carat gold by The Royal Mint. As their name suggests they have half the gold content - 3.65 grams - of the full Sovereign. We offer our bullion Half Sovereigns at very competitive margins as a best value option for investors.
Like the larger version, these coins also bear a face value, and thus qualify as British Legal tender. Due to this status they are exempt from Capital Gains Tax, in addition to being VAT-free as investment gold, making them ideal for British investors.
 
All of these Half Sovereigns are MIXED years and all in good to fair condition, we have digitally removed the years from the images to indicate this. They are sold purely on the basis of their gold content rather than any collectable or "numismatic" value given by date. You will receive a year of our choice based on available stock, and customers cannot specify which year of coin they will receive. This could be any portrait from Victoria to the latest Charles III designs.
